Glyphshow symbols available to Illustrator?

New Here ,
Apr 11, 2017 Apr 11, 2017

Hello,

I am trying to import an EPS file containing equations with symbols displayed with glyphshow, but many symbols are not displayed in illustrator such as mu. How can I get Illustrator to recognize these symbols? I am using Illustrator CC on a mac.

Thank you for your help,

Oliver

Try and create a new file in Illustrator

Then place and link the EPS

Then Object > Flatten transparency. Check "Oultine fonts"

When I link, Illustrator won't let me flatten transparency unless the artwork is embedded. There is also no option for 'Outline fonts' in my version of flatten transparency. After I embed the artwork and try all of the options available to me in flatten transparency, the symbol still does not appear. I don't think it is there. For example, if I create an eps file with just mu and open it in Illustrator, under layer 1, there is a group but nothing in it and it's not selectable.

There has been another thread about EPS today. Please look for that in the forum. It has another method of conversion
