Gradient Mesh Tool - Rectangle to Shape

Hi all,

The act of converting a rectangle to a shape is a bit of pain, as shown in the below video:

Anyone know of a script of plugin that does the dirty work, as that could be a massive time-saver?

Select 4 anchor points at the corners with direct select tool. Then Convert to pradient mesh.
