Hi! Illustrator seemed to update over the weekend. I opened a file and a "grid repeat" pattern is not showing up.
When i hover over the artwork it shows its there and I can copy and paste the original set of circles with the correct colors. I tried re-doing the grid repeat and it just did the same thing. Not sure what to do.
Can you show the Appearance and the Layers panel with the object(s) selected.
I your movie you will see Ellipse in the Control panel (which is what is repeated).
Maybe group the items before repeat.

Hi @Marni5C1E,
Thanks for reaching out and sharing the details. I tested this on Illustrator 30.0 on Windows, and the Grid Repeat appeared correctly even after reopening the file. Could you please try creating a new file and check if the issue persists there as well? This will help us determine if it’s file-specific.
If the issue continues, please try manually resetting Illustrator preferences and then test again: Reset preferences or follow this quick video guide: YouTube walkthrough.
If it still happens, please share a short screen recording showing your complete workflow up to when the issue occurs, so I can check this further.
Abhishek

With the grid selected it does say grid repeat in the Appearance panel.
The set of ellipses are already grouped before the grid is implemented.
Even when I ungroup them, regroup, then repeat grid- for some reason they disappear besides the orange ellipses.
