It looks like you placed the EPS in the PDF. Why not just open the EPS and copy/paste the artwork. THat's what I did and then you can just drag it the way I did in that video.

Exactly how are you aligning it?

And what are you aligning to what?

Maybe it would be best to share the file?

If I understand correctly, then this should help.

Turn on View > Snap to point and View > Smart Guides

In Preferences > Smart guide activate all the options

And then this: https://youtube.com/shorts/yfPspaW3KlU?feature=share

Should I not be looking at the grid? I should focus on manually lining them up? And another silly question.... how do I get the xy  tool you're showing to center vs my bounding box ? I'm so new.  lol thank you

For this simple alignment the smart guides should do. Just move it there.

For other alignments, I would look at the align panel.

It appears I have my star aligned here. But I did it manually. Moved it myself and you can see my anchor point is still off and and the outside bounding lines are not in the same place on each end ? I appreciate ypu

Jason,

With Smart Guides on, make sure both Snap To Grid and Snap to Pixels are off.

If either is on, Smart Guides will fail to guide you, however smart they are; and you seem to have both on.

They definitely seem to help thank you. I am having another issue. Maybe you can help me with when I rasterize my image. It becomes unentered even if I try to re-align it. It's not perfect like the vector image. Do you know why thank you.
