Hi, I have been facing this problem since I started drawing. I hope someone can help me.
When drawing with a pressure brush, I am not able to erase a mistake without Adobe Illustrator thickening the lines. I do not understand why and this causes me to start all over again.
Can someone tell me what I am doing wrong and how I can fix this?

The eraser simply doesn't work like you want it to.
In order to achieve what you want, you would have to first expand the appearance and then erase. Or use the blob brush instead of the brush tool.
And please don't attach images, but embed them in your post.

Very helpful thank you!
By expanding the appearance I am able to use the eraser as I wish.
