I have been watching tons of videos and i am trying to use the  rectangle tool and it get all these lines.   It will not let me crate a rectangle.  Am I doing something wrong?  I am very new to this.  Thank you!!

Looks like what happens if the tilde key gets stuck.

I have not used the tilde key.  It has been doing that since I 1st opened the app.  Thanks!

Which other software is running at the moment?

Please close everything else and try again (also browsers etc.)

Hi Jodi,

That issue looks like a GPU problem. Please try unchecking 'GPU Performance' in your Illustrator preferences, or by clicking the rocket icon at the top of you app. Let us know if that solves the issue for you.
