I have placed an angular dimension.. but I'd like to hide the text that tells the angle.. and ultimately, provide a text description instead of the value... is there a way to hide the numerical value?

Only by expanding appearance, which makes the dimension object no longer 'live'.

Thanks, @Doug A Roberts
I set the text size to 0 (which was changed to 0.1 pt) which seems sufficiently hidden for my purposes.

Change its offset to 0 too and it'll sit on the dimension line, invisibly if it's the same colour.
