I had a package program that allowed me to easily apply sine waves to text which created a great illusion as the text slowly expanded until it became a cloud then slowly retracted until the original text re-emerged. Apparently popular browsers have changed so that this effect no longer functions, the text remains unchanged when viewed in any browser. Any idea on how I might recreate this illusion using Adobe products so it will work in popular browsers? Thanks!

Can you post an example that shows what you are looking for?
Also, which version of Illustrator are you using?

Thanks for replying. No, I cannot post an example because the image no longer shows on any browser that I have tried. I could, however, post the relevant code that I think formerly implemented the sine wave to text. I say I think because I am not a coder. I am using the latest version of Illustrator, desktop.

Well, instead can you perhaps cobble together a sketch that may show how it is supposed to look?

The text expands left and right while preserving each application of the sine wave until it resembles a white cloud. Then it reverses and each application of the sine wave retracts until you see the original text again. I would not know how to draw that. I am attaching the complete code for the web file with relevant portions highlighted. It includes several other timed images that once worked but no longer work, just as the sine waved text once worked but no longer does. Thanks for your attention.
