How do I get my GPU to do most of the work in Illustrator between my GPU and CPU?

I have a Ryzen 9 5900X CPU and a 3070Ti Gaming OC GPU by Gigabyte.

In Task Manager, I keep an eye on my GPU and CPU usage when using Adobe programs. I notice that my GPU is almost never really pushed to more than 15-20% utilization while my CPU will easily go to 100% utilization when doing things like adjusting 3D effects on objects in my artboards.

I have already selected Edit > Preferences > Performance and checked the box labeled "GPU Performance," as well as the box labeled "Animated Zoom."

I have also selected View > View Using GPU.

How can I get my GPU to do most of the work?

Hello @June Rabbit,

We understand that encountering technical issues can be frustrating. Would you mind performing a clean reinstallation of the GPU drivers (Intel / NVIDIA / AMD) and setting the Graphics Preference to High-Performance for Illustrator (https://www.amd.com/en/support/kb/faq/gpu-110) and checking if it helps?

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Thanks,

Anubhav

I've gone through the steps and still get the same results.
