How to get rid of these weird shapes when I curved my pen with brush tool?

It's a really simple question that I hadn't have this kinda experience in previous adobe illustrators. Does anyone having the same experience? If do please advice how do I remove or getting out from this. I made a brush tool like usual. The problem is when I do a long line and turning it as curved over and over again, the curved kinda have this weird shape, and the line that passes the previous line gets a like gap. Just like you can see on the pic. How do I fix this? Thank you very much for anyones help here.

Well, so sadly it only works once. And it didn't happened again. Also is there any other way of a default setting for the brush like to be the same as previous adobe illustrator series? What the hell's wrong with this powerful tool. Thanks for sharing your shot, it was helpful.

That problem has existed for years. There is no default setting to solve this.

Yoy will have to use the add invisible anchorpoints with the roughen effect trick when this happens.

You can make a Graphic Style that adds the roughen effect to existing strokes.
