Hi community.

I have made a shape, and then use the transform FX to rotate it, but my pattern has overlapping shapes.

is this the correct method to make pattern shapes?

Draw an invisible rectangle in the background that marks the repeat. There's no need to actually slice the shapes.

Hello, thanks for your reply.

I did a pattern brush, but its a bit gappy, but the shape is not distorted. is there a method not to make it have gaps?
