How to: memory allocation in Illustrator CS6

Windows 7 pro, Illustrator CS6, Dell 990 w/16 gigs ram. Q: How do you allocate memory usage in CS6 like you can in Photoshop. Does Illustrator just use a program determined amount? I can't find anything in the preference like you can in PS? Is there a file that can be changed in one of the install folders? I'm thinking that if it's not there you can't change anything and Illustrator takes whatever it requires...which is pretty cool.

BTW, my install is running fine and with no problems my question is just for my FYI.

Thanks for your help.

CS6 is a 64 bit app and can use can use as much RAM as it needs. It automatically accesses the RAM. There is no way to set an upper limit.

Thanks Larry that confirms it for me. That seems to be the way Illustrator has handled ram all along? Just my thoughts. Anyway, I think it's works fine that way.
