How to "permanently apply" a mask

(First time poster)

Hello!

Is there a way to "apply" or "expand" a mask?

That is to say... have the mask shape truly CUT the objects(s) below, not just mask it.

I could use the Shape Builder Tool. But both the mask and objects below are quite complex in the project I'm working on.

Thank you.

They are all simple paths, no effects, no raster images?

Strokes are all outlined?

Then you can try the Pathfinder "Crop" from the pathfinder panel.

Hey yeah! That works alright!

It's hard to see the forest through the trees sometimes. Trying different pathfinders hadn't crossed my mind.

Thanks for your reply. (。•́‿•̀。)۶
