The white corners are the handles of Photoshop's crop tool.

Just click on a different tool in the Photoshop toolbar and the white rectangles will be gone.

To follow up on Monika's answer:

1. Your first screenshot looks like Photoshop. Is it Photoshop?

2. If it is, it looks like you have the Crop tool active and those white corners are the handles for the crop tool.

3. They are thus not part of the PNG image.

It's Adobe Illustrator. I made a rectangular shape and modified its edges to be round. And when I save as png it shows me those white corners... how can I fix this?

You're saying the first screenshot is the exported PNG opened in Illustrator?

Can you show the full context of the image?

Yes, the first photo is the png file exported.

Here is a link what I did. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QH6bwZ5ql6U

After I made the shape and let it export as png and I wanted to copy it to xerox, those white corners appeared. What should I do to remove them? I don't want it to appear. If I put that picture on social networks, it appears with those white corners.

In what software are you viewing the exported PNG in which the white corners appear?

With Photos, but even if I try to open it with another software, it still looks the same...

Hi @Andrei32380000pibb,

I understand how frustrating it is to see those unwanted white corners when you export your PNG! It sounds like the issue might be related to the export settings or possibly a white stroke around the shape.

To fix this, please double-check that no white stroke is applied to the shape in Illustrator. Also, when exporting the PNG, don't select “Use Artboards” if you don’t need the entire artboard, and select the “Transparency” option. This should help prevent any white borders or corners from appearing.

If you are still having trouble trying these steps, please share the exported PNG here.

Best,

Anshul Saini

I understand how frustrating this must be, especially after trying different solutions, @Andrei32380000pibb. Something specific to your file could be causing this issue. Could you share your Illustrator file through Google Drive or Dropbox? I’ll take a look and help you figure out how to resolve it.

Looking forward to your file!

Best regards,

Anshul Saini

I exported the file you shared, @Andrei32380000pibb and I don’t see any white corners. It seems that the Photos app you’re using isn’t displaying transparency correctly, possibly adding a white background on its own. Rest assured, your file is perfect!

Let me know if you need further assistance.

Best regards,

Anshul Saini

Are you in Edit mode in Photos? Those are crop handles. They are not part of the image itself.

Please describe step by step.

1. you export the PNG

2. You open the PNG in software xy

3. The corners appear

Is that right? Then please tell us exactly which software it is besides Photos.
