how to round/smooth pen path meeting points?

New Here ,
Dec 16, 2019 Dec 16, 2019

hello,

I'm new to using illustrator and I've run into an issue. The points where the pen tool paths meet do not smoothly transition into one another. Smooth tool only seems to adjust the paths, and not round out how they meet up. Lack of terminology knowledge is making it hard to research how best to fix this! Any advice is appreciated.line.jpg

Looks like there are calligraphy brushes applied to your paths. It will be difficult to edit it in a way that it fits.

Here are some suggestion:

if you work only with stroke paths (using pencil Tool, pen tool , .. ) you can use easily change the corner from the stroke panel,

or you can expand the path, and use the Corner widget to change the roundness the way you want
