How to Scale and Resize a pattern in Illustrator CC

New Here ,
Mar 08, 2017 Mar 08, 2017

Hello,

I'm trying to scale and rotate y patterns in Illustrator CC but even if I have checked "Size Tile to Art" and "Move Tile with Art" the pattern still not changing, it is behaving as if it was a clipping mask, only the shape containing the pattern changes.

Also I'm having issues with the artifacts as they are showing up in the prints, how can I eliminate them?

Thanks

In the image below the pattern looks a bit blurry but you can see number 1 is the original image, number 2 is where I enlarged the circle but the pattern stays the same size and number 3 I rotated the circle but the pattern doesn't rotate. It's locked and I cannot resize it nor rotate it. I want the lines to be diagonal.

Am hoping the number and the pattern in fill are different. You can try selecting the circle, then Object > Transform > Rotate... here check off 'Transform Objects' and check 'Transform patterns'. Also turn Preview ON to see if you're getting the results.

Like Neeraj said, you can control the behaviour in the options for the transform tools as well as in the Transform panel, that is more generic.
