i saw the ligature option is grey out, why?
please let me know how to turn it off.
OMG i want to turn it off forever in all the Adobe programs!

Thanks for reaching out! To help you better, could you let us know the version of Illustrator you're using and the details of your operating system?
If the ligature option is greyed out, it might be related to the font you're using. Some fonts, like Roboto, may have specific ligature settings embedded, and the ability to toggle them depends on how the font is designed.
To disable ligatures in Illustrator for supported fonts:
1. Highlight your text.

3. If the ligature option is enabled, click it to turn it off.
If this doesn’t work and you want to disable ligatures globally across all Adobe programs, unfortunately, there isn’t a universal setting for this yet. However, you can suggest this as a feature request on Illustrator UserVoice.

If you want to turn off ligatures in Illustrator completeöy, you have to edit or create the New document profile.
The edit has to take place in the Character styles panel in the Default Chracter style. There in the Open type fetures you can turn it off.
