After clicking on the icon of AI the app makes all the opening routine but, in the end, the screen remains black, just with the menu on top, but the menu doesn´t work .

Hi Monika

I have tried it all. Reboot the system, thru away the preferences folder and reinstall the Illustrator. Nothing worked. Even when I installed a older version (2.7) with the Creative Cloud app,  the same black screen continued to appear after a I had start de app.
But I receive a 2.7 version link to download from the Adobe suport, and that work properly. I still really don´t understand what happened but, at list, I can work now.

Thank you for your support.

Hello @gil-ruiz,

We understand that encountering technical issues can be frustrating. I hope Monika's suggestions helped resolve the problem. If not, would you mind trying the following steps and checking if they help:

- Close all Adobe applications.

- Rename the UXP folder to UXP.old from the following location:

(Windows) Navigate to C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\UXP

(macOS) Navigate to Macintosh HD/Library/Application Support/Adobe/UXP

- Relaunch Illustrator

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Thanks,

Anubhav
