I can't install the Adobe Illustrator, because it says "You don't have access to manage apps etc."

I'm the owner of this laptop and the admin, so I don't understand what IT administrator is supposed to give me premission...

    Hi. If your computer is part of a network, the IT admin needs give to you the required permissions for install apps. If you're not part of a network you need to verify the user permissions or fix it.

    Without any system information and details about the actual configuration nobody can tell you much. Simply sounds like you're not even aware of some of the finer points of e.g. managing Windows 10 where the main user/ owner no longer is automatically the root admin.

    I have a Mac Laptop, which I use for studying, however it doesn't belong to my school or anything like that...
