I cannot scale anything - images, objects, drawings. Restricted on my tools also?

Hello,

I've been working on a large Illustrator file and also skipping between other files while working - then suddenly stopped being able to use scale. I can't scale my drawings/ images/ anything. I have tried View-Show bounding box and have checked in the Transform panel that Scale Corners and Scale stroke and effects are both clicked - nothing is working. I also can't access some tools such as Ellipse etc. - It won't let me add them to tool bar or click on them?

Help much appreciated - thanks!

Save the file, quit Illustrator, then restart.  It may be related to your cache, perhaps it got max'd out temporally.
