Illustrator 2020 crashing while copy-pasting images on Windows machine.

I bought new computer just now.

My  Illustrator version is 2020 CC 24.1.2(64bit) and CPU is AMD R7 3700X.

When I press ctrl+C and Ctrl+v to cpoy and paste the picture , my Illustrator will crash.

How can I solve this problem.

    Hi,

    I have tried the same procedure at my end on my mac, as I am not having Windows machine,  to copy and paste and using your psd file. But I am unable to replicate the issue. Since you have mentioned that this problem is starts when you bought new computer. So, I suppose there must be issue with the machine configuration. I would suggest you to try same procedure on some other machine if possible, to confirm that this is not an Illustartor issue.

    I cancel the selection "Include SVG code" in the preference.

    Sorry to hear about the trouble you are facing with Illustrator. That's definitely shouldn't be happening. I would like to know if the steps suggested by Charu worked for you? If not, could you please share the following details:

    • Operating system you are working on.
    • Is the issue related to a specific document? If yes, could you please share the document with us? You can upload it to the Creative Cloud and share the download link. 
    • When did this start happening? Are there any recent changes made to your system? For example, any antivirus, system updates or web extensions installed recently. 
    • Does resetting Illustrator Preferences (https://helpx.adobe.com/in/illustrator/using/setting-preferences.html) help resolve the issue? 
      Please note that resetting preferences will remove all the custom settings and Illustrator will launch with default settings. You can also take a backup of the folders in case you want to. Location is mentioned in the article.

      Thank you for your help.

      First, Charu's suggestion do not work.

      And the following video is my problem, when I use ctrl+C and ctrl+V or ctrl+X in Illustrator 2020, it will crash.

      1.My operating system is win10 (version 1909).

      2. No specific document,but I use the following ducument to try , the same document as my vedio.

      3.It starts to have problem, when I bought my new computer.

      4.Resetting Illustrator Preferences doesn't  solve the problem.
