Illustrator 29.7.1 - Snap to Grid disables path highlighting.

Hi, I fund something I believe is a bug.

I have the latest version, and when the "Snap to Grid" option is enabled, paths do not highlight when hovered over with the Selection Tool. When "Snap to Grid" is disabled, the highlighting behavior returns to normal.

I'm on Windows 11 and latest Illustrator version.

It has always been like this since Smart Guides were introduced.

That means enabling "Snap to Grid" (temporarily) disables Smart Guides and therefore its highlightings.

I checked it in some older versions and it looks like this has been like that for years.

I stopped using Adobe at version 27, which is when I originally designed that. I think I would’ve remembered that issue back then, so I think it’s a problem with version 28 and onward.
But I might be misremembering, which is why I wasn’t sure if it was a bug or not. Either way, it’s not supposed to work like that, right?
