Explorer ,
Sep 20, 2019 Sep 20, 2019

Hello,

For the last 2 days, illustrator CC cloud is doing all kind of weird stuff like moving page left, right, up, down, unable to access layers, takes forever to selet tools, boxes appears, duplates themeselves  then desappear etc.........

I have unintalled it many times followed by a fresh download from the cloud . Still acting like crazy.... as it is, Illustrator is unusable. Any idea what I could do??

Regards

Are you running Chrome? Quit it and see if your applications start behaving.

Hi there,

Sorry to hear about the trouble you are facing with Illustrator and Photoshop. As you mentioned, this has started happening recently, could you please confirm if there are any recent changes made to your system? For example, any antivirus, system updates or web extensions installed in last two days.

Try booting your system in Safe mode: https://helpx.adobe.com/in/x-productkb/global/start-safe-boot-mode-mac.html

This performs certain checks and prevents third party applications/ services from automatically loading or opening.

Looking forward to your response!

Regards,

Srishti

Hello Srishti, This is when things go weird that you realise how much you use Photoshop, Illustrator or Indesign. Yes I am using Chrome. I did install a new extension called Dashlane last week as well as new screen grabber that is now replacing "Voila" and is called Capto. Nothing else new. I did run Illustrator on a Mac pro over the weekend (The bin one) and seems to run ok. So I have rebooted in Safe Mode and closed Chrome. It seems that everything is gone back to normal now. I will let you know if it all goes "Stranger Things" on me again. Thank you very Much Michael
