Hi @Chloclok,

I completely understand your frustration and concern regarding the issue you're facing with Illustrator. Opening the software and being met with a black screen instead of the familiar workspace is undoubtedly frustrating. Don't worry; we're here to help you get this sorted out.

In addition to Monika's suggestion, you can also try the following:

  • Rename the CEP folder to CEP.old & UXP folder to UXP.old from the following location:
    macOS:-
    /Library/Application Support/Adobe
    ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe

Note: Location starting with this "~" sign indicates the User Library, which is hidden. So, you need to copy & paste the exact path in spotlight search or from Finder Menu > Go > Go to Folder > Paste the location in the dialog box like this:

  • Windows:-
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe
    Windows: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\

  • If that doesn't help either, uninstall the application using the CC Cleaner tool and reinstall it from the Creative Cloud Desktop app.

If the issue persists despite your efforts, could you kindly share additional details? Information about your system, operating system, and the specific version of Illustrator you're using would be incredibly helpful in tailoring our assistance to your unique circumstances.

Best regards,

Anshul Saini
