Illustrator CC 2018 Lags to a stop!

So since the last Adobe Illustrator CC 2018 update, My Illustrator hasn't worked, the cursor lags moments after launching,

"rendering Illustrator unresponsive and useless"

on a new imac Mac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, Late 2015) Mac Os High Sierra 10.13.1

32 GB 1867 MHz DDR3

AMD Radeon R9 M390 2 GB graphics

Does this mean:

• I'll just pay for only Indesign and Photoshop on my subscription plan

  as long as Illustrator doesn't work?

• Can I reinstall Adobe Illustrator CC 2017 back on my Computer?
