Illustrator Freezes When Opening Files

Community Beginner ,
Jan 29, 2019 Jan 29, 2019

I have Illustrator CC v 23.0.1 running on an iMAC. macOS Sierra, version 10.12.6

Every file I have tried opening in Illustrator has frozen on me. I tried uninstalling, reinstalling. I tried installing older versions. I tried deactivating unused fonts. I tried clearing cache. I'm not sure what else there is to do.

Is a printer connected, set up and turned on?

Where are your files located?

My printer is connected.

Files are located on my local desktop, no server files.

And it's also the default printer and it is running?

Hi Alex,

Sorry to hear about this issue. Please try turning of I-cloud sync services from system preferences and let us know if that helps.
