Hello, Would like to get some input from the experts; Lately whenever I open my existing files that were fine about a week ago, I get error message which says "We found some objects while opening the document. The document has been partially recovered." And when I hit "Okay" to open the file, it says, I can't preview the file, so it opens up as wireframe view! This is really frustrating. Hope someone can please help!
Thank You
Hello again,
I managed to fix the issue, it was very simply. I didn't have enough free RAM on my computer to open the file, I'm not sure how that makes sense, but if you have the same issue make sure you have enough space on your C drive and that should fix it, it did for me.
Hope this reaches people with the same issue.

What happens if you choose to return to preview after the file opens in wireframe mode? Does the file perform normally, or does it lock up or provide undesirable characteristics when you switch back to preview mode?

Hi Randy, Thanks for checking, the file does open up, but it would just stay in wireframe state, it won't let me go back to preview mode. Although with the wireframe state, the file looks intact and doesn't lock up, I can work with it, if I'd like to although it just becomes tough to anticipate the outcome while working like that!

OK. Here are a couple of things that are generally offered to fix odd responses with Adobe Illustrator. They range from simple to really invasive, so you want to try these in order:
Often, when Illustrator has problems it desn't so much crash, or stop working, per se. It's more like those silent movies where parts start falling off the car until you find yourself sitting in the middle of the street with nothing but your seat and the steering wheel in your hands. Hopefully going through the first two bullet points will get you up and running smoothly again. If not, The Rude Cure in the third bullet point may be in order.
Good Luck,
Randy

Did this error start happening immediately after installing the latest point-release update for Adobe Illustrator? If so, you might have to uninstall that version and roll back to the previous point release update. To do that uninstall the current version and then open the Creative Cloud app. In the apps list click the three dots icon in the tile for Illustrator and select "other versions" from the fly-out menu. That will show all the previous point releases this version and all of the ones from the previous Illustrator version.
And there are the usual trouble-shooting steps to try. One is resetting Illustrator's Preferences file. Press and hold Option+Command+Shift when launching Illustrator.
Are there any updates for the graphics board/graphics chip in your computer? That would be something to check.

Did anything happen in that week? Upgrade anything? Install? Major crash? Do you run on a network? What OS? Give us the details. Also, have you tried shutting down Ai and also restarting the computer?

Hi Michele, I had just upgraded to the latest CC prompt for upgrading as I normally do whenever there's an update. Didn't install anything unusual, and didn't have any major crash. I don't run on network. Work on Ventura 13.5.1
I did try shutting down AI, and the computer a couple or few times. I still keep running into the issue. Sorry missed sharing all the details in the rush and frustration! 😉
