Illustrator is cutting up all my shapes when using the shape BUILDER tool

How do i fix this?

It messes up all my shapes making it so that i can't use the tool anymore

Sorry,  don't understand, what have you done already or what to you want to do?

Perhaps you need more stuff selected, if you want to make progress from the screen shot,

We need a little more information so we can help you! What version of Illustrator are you using? Are you on a Mac or PC? Have you tried resetting your tools? Or resetting your preferences?

Also, how did you create your shapes, and how are the tools cutting your image? It's hard to discern from the screenshot you uploaded.
