For the past 2 days my illustrator keeps freezing my entire computer and forces me to shut down and restart my whole system. It's even given me a blue screen.
I've tried everything I could think of, make sure things are up to date, reinstalled everything, and still the same issue. It's happened with many different files all of which are very small. My system is also about as beefy as it can get so I'm sure it's not a hardware issue (rtx 4090, 64gb ram, 13th gen intel i9).
It started right after the March 14 windows 11 update so i'm thinking it's something with that. Has anyone experienced this issue or have any solutions?

When does the freezing happen? On launch? When creating a new file?
What you typically have to do after a Windows update: check the printer. Reset the default printer. Can you try that?

So far freezes have happen when I open a file, move around in a file, or zoom in. I did just reset my default printer and I'll do some testing in Illustrator to see if that's solved anything.

That behaviour would point to issues with the graphic card. Or the driver.

I ran diagnostics on the graphic card and it's in perfect working order, and my drivers are also up to date as well. Every other adobe program runs fine, it's just illustrator that's doing this. I've reset all preferences in it and also did a clean install with the adobe cloud cleaner tool.

Update - I reset my default printer settings, tried out illustrator again and it still froze up upon opening a file
