Illustrator Mesh Tormentor

Hi guys. Watching the Illustrator webinar today, I saw reference to the Mesh Tormentor plugin. Odd - I'd never heard of it before, but it looks great. Thing is, the website says it only goes up to Illustrator 2015. Anybody using it successfully on CC2017? I'd love to give it a try, but thought I'd ask first. Thanks!

It runs in CC2017 - at least on Mac OS. I don't know about Windows.

Works fine with  CC2017  on my Windows 7 64

Download  CC2015 here

Mesh Tormentor

Unzip the file and put

MeshTormentor_CC2015_x64.aip

into Illustrator plug-in folder, the pat, something like    c:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Illustrator CC 2017\Plug-ins

Then  open illustrator and it shows up under Window > Mesh tormentor

Its seems vectorboom has been taken down or hacked. But there is also another dedicated website.

Its has updates till 2022

I don't think it's necessary to make that kind of assumptions about the developer of a *free* plugin.

Well, that can give an indication that perhaps they return. The website was working till earlier this year

But looking at the domain again, this developer is hosted the website under an Ukrainian top-level-domain. So lets hope he/she gets back. I also now understand the color better in this last image from january

Im mistaken, the dev is very much hosting it. They stopped using .com and now are using pp.ua

It doesn't work with Ai 2023. When you select "Sew" in Mesh Tormentor, Ai goes for crash! The download link @schroef mentioned here doesn't work.

It's just a couple of days ago that I could download from there.

You know what is happening in Ukraine right now, don't you?

It backups a gazillion website and has been doing so for years.

Sadly it didn't capture the downloadable links. I think I do have the windows versions downloaded. I can make a download link. But perhaps not nice for the original dev to share something without him/her knowing
