Illustrator Upgraded to 27.4.1. Text Objects appear in Layers but nothing shows on artboard

Question

Saved a File last week, simple sign layout with 1 grouped vector logo and 4 lines of Text (font Century Schoolbk Bold)

the Text objects were all caps, with the starting characters at a font size of approximately 140% of the rest of the character (sort of custom CamelCase)

I have 4 different revision versions saved, and since Illustrator upgraded, when I re-open these files the Text objects are enumerated in the layer object listing but there's nothing on the ArtBoard.

Hi @AlbionSP,

I understand how frustrating it must be to open your Illustrator files and not see the text objects on the artboard, especially after an upgrade. I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing this issue.

Do you recall if you saved the file as Ai or PDF? As Met1 assumed, it's possible you forgot to save the file as Ai/PDF or save it somewhere else.

Also, do you see the thumbnail of this file on the home screen of Illustrator?

Additionally, would you mind sharing the file with us? We will check why the text is showing on the layer panel but not on the artboard.
