image gets distorted when I zoom in and out

Greetings,

My name is Ru.

Just a quick question, I have been using Illustrator to design few posters now but for some reason this time, when I zoom in and out, the image get distorted.

I was wondering if anybody could help me please. Im really new in using this software.

Try if View > Preview on CPU improves this.

Hi Ru,

Could you screenshot an image of you illustrator page?

It sounds like you’re looking at a rasterized image, which is made up of many or few pixels depending.

If you don’t want pixels on your image, you will need to create a vector and if outputting as png / jpeg which again will rasterize your image you will need to design the vector to the desired resolution.

Yippi! CPU view actually worked. Could you please explain why? What's the difference between GPU and CPU?

Im really eager to learn more on how to use illustrator.

GPU Performance

Short explanation: some stuff is calculated on the graphics card processor instead of the CPU (because GPUs usually are very powerful these days). But for this, a bunch of things need to be compatible, which they often aren't.
