Indentifying tool from YouTube Tutorial

Community Beginner ,
Jul 20, 2018 Jul 20, 2018

I have just watched a YouTube-Tutorial on how to create some flat hands but got some problem on finding out which tool the YouTuber used at 0:11 / 0:12.

Could somebody maybe have a look? I just can't figure it out...

Speed Drawing, How to draw Flat Hand, Hand Holding, Adobe Illustrator - YouTube

Thanks in advance,

Antonia

It seems the person is using »Minus Front« in the Pathfinder Panel to knock the rotated rectangle out of the circle.

I agree with c.paffenbichler that it's Pathfinder Panel > Minus front.

A good tip for these speed drawing/painting YouTube videos: if you click the "Settings" gearwheel in the video's bottom right, you can set the speed down to 25% of normal, making it much easier to follow what's going on.

That's not a "tutorial". A tutorial contains explanations. Calling this a tutorial mocks all those authors who make an effort actually explaining their actions.

True, I should have rather called it just a video/ or as he himself did "speed drawing"-video...
