Does anybody know if it is possible to make a basic production file like this where the size is dependent on an 'x'

Say the distance between the horizontal lines is 'x'
The height of the pink box needs to be (3*x)+1)

For everytime I would start a new production file I would open this template file and change the value for 'x'.

Same goes for the length of the lines (say 'y') in relation to the length of the pink box. ('y'+1,25 in)

Hope someone knows this.

Best regards,

Ron

Perhaps this can be done with a script.

So you want to tag this with scripting, so that the scripters react to it.

Thanks for this Monika.
I'm new to this community thing. So, can I add a tag to my initial message?
I can't seem to find that option.

You probably can't - I can't either.

@Ton Frederiks - could you perhaps set the Script tag to this thread? Thank you.

It could be that you don't need a script to create this (dynamic) template.

Do you always have just three Name fields (lines)? Or does the number vary?

Should the word "Name" be connected to its corresponding line, such that the vertical distance between "Name" also changes as soon as you change the vertical distance between the lines? Or should "Name" be static?

Hi Kurt,

The lines and names are always 3.
Currently I just have them separated by a transform effect.
I manually adjust the values of these effects for each order.

After I make sure the dimensions or the template are correct i explode the 3 text lines and enter the values that correspond to an individual order.

Hope this makes sense.
