Is there a list of resources for learning to write scripts?

I started scripting before and I had a nicer collection of guides, however it's been awhile and I'm trying to rebuild my resources. 

I've found an 'introduction to scripting', and 'scripting with Illustrator' both from Adobe... I seem to remember another 3rd party one more covering the UI aspects that I haven't found again yet, and I figured I'd just check for any other possible newer guides.  JavaScript was what I was using.  Was there a guide for JavaScript other than "Adobe Illustrator CC Scripting Reference: JavaScript" from 2013?

Might there be a list of popular free scripts as well?
