Hi,
Suddenly this function isn't working correctly for me.
In the 3D Material, I added two symbols. Previously, I could easily click on a symbol and move it around the surface of the 3D object. But now, it's become difficult.
When I try to click on the first symbol (there are two in total), the mouse movement doesn't move the symbol—it moves the entire 3D object instead.
Example (the attached screenshot)
Try to re-position the symbol behind the flower symbol, and click the layer, but when moving, the whole 3d object moves, not the symbol .

I've seen that as well.
Below the symbols there is a little list with the object and its materials applied. There you can click on the material to activate it. And then move around with the cursor to find the sweet spot where to grab the material, but it is indeed difficult.

Bonjour,

You are using the Classic 3D effect. In 3D and materials you can apply multiple.

It seems like the issue happens very randomly....
For my case, I tried, sometimes a wide graphic which should have more "clickable" area, but I selected it in the list, but I can't move it. Somehow, when you click the area (which the graphic is already specified in the list) it will turn into you click on the whole 3d object instead, so you move, it will be moving the whole 3d object...
I am out of options... this function was working perfectly fine, till now, it just broken...
I hope Adobe (anyone) can see this and look into it??

Thanks so much for sharing the details of the issue. Just to confirm, are you using Illustrator version 29.5 as the latest? It would also be great if you could let me know the operating system you're working on.
If possible, please share the exact steps you’re taking when the issue occurs, so I can pass it along to the team and take a closer look.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Abhishek

Thanks for jumping in and confirming you're seeing the same issue. I understand how frustrating this can be, especially when something that worked well before suddenly stops behaving as expected.
Could you please confirm the details of the operating system you're working on and, if possible, share a short screen recording showing your workflow and how the issue appears? That would really help me get a better sense of what's happening and pass it along for further investigation.
Looking forward to your update!
Abhishek
