Hiya, I'm not sure what I've done, and I'm very new to adobe so I've probably done something wrong somewhere but everytime I open illustrator a notification saying "The operation cannot complete because of an unknown error. [TAdd]" although illustrator opens fine, none of my keyboard shortcuts are working - I've tried going into edit - keyboard shortcuts and the same notification shows then. I've checked my files and there is a kys file on my computer for illustrators' shortcuts, so I haven't deleted the file by mistake. I'm not sure what to do, any help would be muchly appreciated. Thanks in advance

Hi there,

Thanks for reaching out. Would you mind sharing some more information like:
1. Version of OS and Illustrator.
2. Is it happening without opening any file, with a specific file or with all the files?
3. Do you save files locally or on a network?
4. Have you tried resetting preferences? (If not, please try doing that. You may follow the steps provided on https://helpx.adobe.com/illustrator/using/setting-preferences.html#setting_illustrator_preferences)

**Please note that resetting preferences will remove all the custom settings and Illustrator will launch with default settings. You can also take a backup of the folders in case you want to. Location is mentioned in the article.

All this information will help us understand the issue and work accordingly. Looking forward to your response.

Ashutosh

Hi,

I have reset preferences and still nothing. Even ranamed UXP folder in Common Files and I still get [TAdd] error. Meaning I can't copy paste or do a quick Undo. Any other Ideas? It happens as I'm starting Illustrator. Not opening a file or anything. I uninstalled it and re-intalled it (latest available version) using Adobe Cloud and still nothing. I save my work locally. I was working on some files and all of the sudden couldn't do those basic things anymore. Thanks
