Legacy Adobe Illustrator and Type 1 fonts

Our team has been frantically working on replacing Type 1 fonts in thousands of documents, but it's been slow going (in part because we have to obtain customer permission/approval of changes). We've stayed with Adobe 2021 (Illustrator v25), with the hopeful understanding that this version would still show Type 1 fonts after January 1, 2023, based on this posting from Adobe (screen capture below of the relevant bullet point):

https://helpx.adobe.com/fonts/kb/postscript-type-1-fonts-end-of-support.html#:~:text=Will%20Type%201....

This appears to state that only Versions Released By Adobe after January 1, 2023, will be unable to use Type 1 fonts.

One of our team members ran into problem with Illustrator, and uninstalled without realizing she would no longer be able to reinstall Illustrator 2021 (v25).

Can anyone (Adobe?) please verify which versions will still support Type 1 fonts come January 1, 2023?  Given our project, are we OK with moving to Illustrator 2022, which is still provided by Adobe?  If so, we'll likely move our entire team to 2022. Thanks.

For anyone else who is wondering, I was able to reach Adobe Customer Support, where an agent verified:

"Aprinder (11/3/22, 1:40:22 PM CDT):

Thank you. Correct, so previous versions than 2022 and 2022 as well, will support usage of Type 1 fonts. However, Operating systems are also currently moving towards ending support for Type 1 fonts.

Aprinder (11/3/22, 1:41:08 PM CDT):

So if this happens from the Operating System side, then previous versions of Creative Cloud apps will also be unable to support Type 1 fonts once support is ended for the operating system."

That December 31 is not a drop-dead date is good news for all of us who are still working to replace Type 1 fonts.
