Create a new swatch in the Adobe Colour on-line resource (while logged into my CC profile). Swap to libraries panel in Illustrator but nothing there!
Have to restart Illustrator CC 2017 AND log out of CC and back in again … sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't!
If I wait long enough (a day or so) things eventually show up but way too late for me!
Used to be able to save a swatch theme straight from Kuler but that option has been removed because the workflow has been "fully integrated" cough!
Adobe need to add an "Update Libraries" option to the pull down top-right of the Libraries panel.
Frustrated!
i don't think anyone's going to be offended. i personally think cc libraries are still a long way from where they should be. and yeah sheena was just moving the post; that link just happens to be on the front page for the illustrator forum at the moment.
when we first started using libraries, we had a lot of problems with them not updating as the CC app didn't seem to log in properly. a few updates down and those things seem to have resolved themselves. i think one of the issues was our network i

There is obviously something really wrong with the Adobe CC log-in process.
I have to re-log-in every time I visit this page so it's no wonder that my colour themes do not update.
Sheena … thanks for the reply but if you read my original message I am following that exact workflow and my swatches are not updating in illustrator CC (or any CC) libraries panel.
I'm an advanced user so no need to beat around the bush! The described workflow does not work and it's causing me to spend far too much time trying to find a work around (I'm currently re-entering swatch values manually) it was better when it was Kuler! At least you could migrate a swatch set then – but you had to go and ruin that too!
This is making me look slow and unprofessional. I knew the "we've got you so we don't care" mentality would eventually creep in with subscription only and it finally looks like it's arrived.

are you replying to something the rest of us can't see? all i can see is that sheena moved the post here.
i'm gonna devote some time myself soon to experimenting a bit more with the limitations of CC libraries. all I can say is using them for symbols has been largely a good experience. swatches and text styles i'm less sure about though.

She simply gave a link that pushed me, once again, to the tutorial that tells me: Make a Swatch set > Upload to Libraries > Open Libraries Panel in Illustrator, and off you go!
If all she was doing was moving the question to somewhere more appropriate within this community why didn't she say so?
Apologies if I've offended anyone!
Cheers for the assistance.

what was the tutorial link?

I wrongly assumed (not knowing, because she never mentioned, that she was moving the post not offering an answer) that she was pointing me towards the link at the bottom of the middle row of suggestions on the page you quote. It addresses my topic so I'm pretty sure that's what she was attempting to point me towards … except the information is wrong or redundant!
The link leads to this: https://forums.adobe.com/message/8162155#8162155
Really don't want to go on and on about this as it deflects from the issue and my whole point is to avoid time wasting.
I'm SORRY once again if I offended anyone. If anyone else can help with finding a solution to the issue it would be warmly received.
Regards and thanks again - DB

i believe the little CC icon at the bottom of the libraries panel acts as an 'update' button. you can check the status of the library there anyway. does that look normal? no little 'x' next to it?

Thanks, that's the "update" option I was looking for! Worked a dream … perhaps it should be added to that link I mentioned above.
There are hundreds of threads out there all asking the same question and it's such a simple (but not immediately obvious) solution.
Thanks anyway Doug! Have a great day …

I intended to give a similar answer.
The icon updates the library. Even if it says "All libraries are up to date", it is not always telling the truth, as in the case of Color Themes.
If you don't see your theme and you are sure you saved it in the library, click the button.
