Line weights

New Here ,
Feb 14, 2020 Feb 14, 2020

We are having an issue with one document where no matter what we change the line weight to, the line never visually changes. Say for instance the origianl line is .5pt and we change it drastically to 5 or 10 pt. The weight in the stroke box shows as 5 or 10 pt, but the line does not change visually within the art. I am sure some setting was turned on or disabled at some point, but I'm now at a loss.

You are in Outline View at the layer level.

Go to the Layers palette and make the blind eye sharp sighted by Cmd (Ctrl) clicking on the eye icon.

Can you share at least a part of this .ai file?

Probably there is an appearance applied at some higher-order level (e.g. group or layer). But it may also be something different.

There does not appear to be a way to share the file.

Have you copied that element to a new file to see what happens?

Yes. We created a new file and copied the art into the new one. Same issue.

You can use a file sharing provider (e.g. Google Drive) to share the file.
