Hi! When I want to fill in an object with color with the live paint bucket tool, the following message pops up: "Complex visual appearance attributes such as brushes, live effects, transparency and stroke alignment options may be lost when converting to a Live Paint group."
When I click "OK", the lines of the object get smaller. There are no gaps in my drawing. What should I do to ensure nothing will be unintentially altered with my drawing? Aside from the color I chose to fill in the object. Thank you!
You perhapsused the brush tool to draw your objects. Then you will always draw with a calligraphy brush. The Live paint tool cannot handle that and converted it into a pain stroke. Just making it thicker is not an option?
And then also: if you do not need brushes on your strokes, use the pencil tool for drawing, not the brush.

Thank you! Another quick question if you don't mind! I began using the pencil tool and now when I try to erase, it's not erasing the lines. The lines stay there no matter how many times I try to erase them. The layer is not locked! What should I do?

The eraser might not work in the way you expect it to. Also: it either erases everything (when nothing is selcted) or it erases just the things that are selected. Do you maybe have something unrelated selected?
Can you show something?
