Logo designed in Illustrator is too thin/faint when imported into Photoshop

Hi everyone

I am designing a logo in Illustrator. The text of the logo is in the Fragile Script font.

When I save it as .ai or .eps then place embedded into Photoshop (to see how it would look overlaid on an image), PS makes the text of the logo too thin/faint.

How can I preserve the bolder look of the original?

By keeping it vector. If it will be overlain on an image, that should be done in a page layout application rather than an image editing application.

In a broader design context, you must evaulate whether the logo design will hold up in such applications, and consider all the other potential applications too. Perhaps the font choice could be better, or the glyphs could be altered to avoid the problem you're seeing. As the designer, it's your res

You are comparing vector to pixel so this wil aways be less sharp in PS.

I will show you a bit later when I can.

Just a thought, could it be that I designed the logo in a CMYK Illustrator document and the Photoshop document is in RGB?

why are you trashing all of the nice vector work you are making by turning it into pixels?  you can stay in illustrator and export a .png or .jpg. would you like to explain what you are trying to do?

Hi there,

Thanks for reaching out. I tried the same workflow with a similar font (as I don't have Fragile Script font) at my end and it worked perfectly fine. Have you tried checking with some different font?

Also, could you please share a sample Ai file along with a few screenshots of how it looks at your end? This will help us replicate this issue and troubleshoot accordingly.

Regards,

Srishti
