If You'r not awake and have the Textcursor chosen, I've experienced that it places the tekst Lorem Ipsum wherever You accidentally place Your cursor. And if You are not awake - mostly when You shift from screen to screen or aps - the atwork You send to Print will contain this flaw text Lorem Ipsum, whether it be hidden in a photo, a dark graphic area or even in a textpath.
SO, Is there anyway You can disable this amazing but wery annoying feature in Illustrator ?

Do you experience general issues with waking up the Mac from sleep? Somewhat sounds like so.

I dont think You get "the problem"
When You have chosen the text Tool in Illustrator on my Mac
and click randomly it creates a textfield with the text Lorem ipsum.
Its fine that it creates a text start line but that it produces the tekst is a giga problem
Because if You are not aware that this text has been laid on top of the artwork or leaflet on the screen... then You have an issue with Your customer when the ad or the leaflet has been printet...
Imagine this scenario: You are working with the text-tool activateda on a darkish label in illustrator. The customer just send You an mail with text to be altered, You then move from illustrator to the mailprogram, copy the textline and go back and activate the illustrator ap , doing that You need to click the screen with Your cursor (mouse) and it is now the problem can occure - It creates the text Lorem ipsum where You clicked ! And if You are not aware of that this textline can, if You are unluckky and not observant, hide it self on top of a dark area ( as the text Lorem Ipsum is created in black.
So what I ask about is: How "the f-word" can I deactivate this function in Texttool ? It was not active some updates ago - Thanks and pardon my French

I'm fully aware of that, but that problem is solved when you do as Doug already wrote.
You need to solve that issue as well that you click into your file without seeing anything.

You have to turn off the setting. The preference might get reset when you update.
