Losing guides and rulers

When I reopen a file the guides and rulers are missing. I can bring the rulers back (although I shouldn't have to), but the guides have to be completely redrawn. What's going on?

    Sorry to hear about this experience. Would you mind sharing some more details, like whether Illustrator behaves this way with other files and a screen recording of the problem (https://community.adobe.com/t5/illustrator-discussions/screen-record-an-issue-on-windows-amp-macos-for-sharing/td-p/12967727) so that we can investigate this further?

    It it a template?

    What kind of file is it?

    Does it happen with all files or just this one?

    I should add that this regards Illustrator CC 2022 for Windows 11.
