Exactly, Maha, only with Preview unticked in the box; when ticked you will see what happens if you apply the same rotation to the copy path round its centre (by clicking OK).

The number in the box shows the angle of the rotation you have just made, in other words the angle between the lines. When you have seen the angle (you can also copy it), just click Cancel to close the box.

This is one of many ways that Illy can measure and calculate and whatnot for you; and she is always eager to help.

In case you mean measuring and automatically labelling any possible angle, you would have to get a third-party plugin, such as CadTools and the like.

Okey, I can find CadTools. Is there any free tool link?

Are you using CadTools? if it is a good one, I am prepared to pay.

I used to use it sometimes.

You can download a free trial version and see if it may or may not suit your needs.

Maha,

As I (mis)understand it (Smart Guides being your friends), to just measure/check an angle between two lines, you can select one of the lines, then Click the Rotate Tool, then Click the coinciding end Anchor Point, then hold Alt/Option and ClickDrag the copy line to snap to the other line, then Object>Transform>Rotate and read the angle, then delete the copy line.

Edit: Hi Kurt. A touch of frost this evening, otherwise winter has turned back to autumn here.

Maha,

In the last stage you drag the copy line back and forth, snapping it to its own original (the one to the left) so it is back on top of its original position, and that will give the 0 degrees that you have rotated it.

Instead, drag the copy line to snap to the other line (the one to the right), and that will give you the angle that you have rotated it, from the original line to the other line, because Illy (job description Adobe Illustrator) remembers the latest rotation.

Remember to delete the copy line when done.

Maha,

Just a general addition (see my answer to your video post): you can also measure the angle if the lines (are joined and) form a single path with two segments, as follows:

1) Deselect if the path is selected (just Click an empty spot on the artboard);

2) Click one of the segments (not one of its Anchor Points) with the Direct Selection Tool;

3) Proceed as with two lines; the copy of the segment will be a separate indpendent line to delete afterwards leaving the original path unscathed.
