Missing dimension tool - Illustrator Beta Version 28.0

Hi

I can't find the Dimension Tool form the toolbar in Illustrator Beta 28.0

Do I need to add it to the toolbar? Or am I being blind?

It's pretty usual for beta software that functionality goes on and off.

If it's not there when you switch to the Advanced toolbar, then it's currently not there.

Yes, it's gone missing in this version (28.0). I reverted it to version 27.8.1, and the Dimension tool is back.

Would you mind trying the suggestions shared in this help article (https://helpx.adobe.com/download-install/using/install-previous-version.html) to install an older version of Illustrator and let us know if it helps?

Just go to Adobe Creative Cloud app, and you will see list of apps that can be installed. Uninstall the 28.0 version, and then install the 27 version.

Ya, you have to go back to the 27. beta. I hope it becomes a regular feature. It's very much like the CADdoor extension. I do a lot of mockups for displays and signage and always have to dimension everything. So this becoming an in-house feature is very long awaited.

The Dimension Tool has been temporarily removed from Illustrator Beta Version 28.0.40. The reason for this removal is that our development team is actively working on core enhancements and improvements to this feature.

Rest assured, the Dimension Tool will be reintroduced in a future update, and when it returns, it will come with additional capabilities.

The Dimension tool is still available in the general release version of Illustrator, currently at version 28.1, and the latest beta, v28.3.10.
