Missing Effects From Illustrator

New Here ,

Hi everyone,

I'm having a bit of trouble with Illustrator and some missing effects. I'm trying to add a drop shadow to an object, but when I go into the Fx dropdown and hover over 'stylize', the only effect option is glowing edges. I've no idea if I've never had that option, or if it's a new glitch for me, as I've never really experimented with the Fx options before.

I did, of course, look around to see if others had had a similar problem, and all I could see was that people fixed the issue by resetting their Illustrator preferences. I tried that myself, but even after resetting all of my preferences, I still only get glowing edges and nothing else.Screenshot 2021-09-23 104821.png

Any help would be really appreciated - I'm sure I'm just missing something obvious.

Thanks in advance!

That's the Photoshop effects. Look at Stylize under Illustrator Effects.
