MISSING PANTONE COLOURS - 2171 C

Community Beginner ,

I have have the Pantone Colour Manager and have found the pantone that I require and obviously I can use the information on that to create a colour manually. But I want to have the colours that are in the Pantone swatches in my CC programmes complete however it seems that some are missing. I have exported the book from Pantone Colour manager and dropped it in the CC Illustrator 2017 preset>swatches>colour book folder on my HD and restarted Illustrator but still Pantone 2171 is not showing in any of the Pantone colour books. This is unacceptable. Adobe should have an automatic update for Pantone colours and ALL colours should be available as it is industry standard. I now have to fart around and make the colour up manually and that shouldn't be the case. Anyone know if I have done something wrong or am missing a trick here?

OK I have solved the issue I swapped from Pantone+ Solid Coated-v3 in Pantone Colour Manager to the Formula Guide solid coated swatch and exported that and it worked. Phew what a pain in the backside.

I just searched that color in the Color Manager app, exported the Color Book and it was installed directly into Illustrator CC 2017. So actually I don't see the problem.

Did you update the Color Manager App? When I launched it, it immediately reported that there was an upgrade available.

No its not working for me i have even tried adding other swatches in the pull down menu in Illustrator and locating the downloaded Pantone Manager swatch in the swatches file but nothing. I am either doing something wrong or something is skew with my Illustrator.

Hi there, could you explain a little bit more?

What do you mean by you swapped from 'Pantone+ Solid Coated-v3' in pantone colour manager to the Formula Guide solid coated swatch?

Do you mean that you picked 'Formula Guide Solid Coated' via the Colour Manager's Fan Deck and exported directly to the application?
