Moving Layers

Hi all!  Hope you are all staying safe during this crazy time!

How do I move multiple layers from one Illustrator file into another Illustrator tab?  We are doing stickers and I am changing the size of the artboard.  I want to transfer the work I have already done into the new sized art board.  I have alread save a ton of our working files as EPS for our printer.

I usually work in PS, so Illustrator

In the Layers panel turn on: Paste Remembers Layers.

Copy the content of yout layers and Paste in a new document?

I tried that, and made sure that was check in both docs, but whe I did, it pasted something that I had previously copied

How do you select what you want to copy and how do you copy?

Just figure it out that I was hiughlighting the layers, but not clicking on the circles to the right..Did that and now able to paste.  Thanks!
