I've read through this article about variables in Illustrator (Merge data to create data-driven graphics through templates and variables in Illustrator) and I only see a way to export each record/index from the data set into its own file.
However, I would actually like to lay out each record/index in the same document. (I think InDesign has this function called a "Multiple Record" page). Is there any way to do this?
Thanks,
Tom

Can you elaborate a bit?
I guess I know what you mean, but I'm not quite sure if my guess does apply to your request.
